These terms apply when you use scrapcar.ca or sell a vehicle to ScrapCar.ca (“we”, “us”). By requesting a quote or selling us a vehicle, you agree to them.

Quotes

Quotes are based on the information you give us about the vehicle.
We confirm the final offer when we see the vehicle at pickup. If the vehicle’s condition, parts or details are different from what was described, the offer may change. You are free to decline a changed offer.
A quote is not a guarantee of a specific payout.

Ownership and paperwork

You must be the registered owner of the vehicle or be legally allowed to sell it.
At pickup, please have valid government-issued photo ID and the vehicle’s registration or other proof of ownership.
We do not buy stolen vehicles, and we may report suspected stolen vehicles to police.

Pickup

Pickup is free within Calgary and surrounding areas.
The vehicle must be safely reachable by a tow truck. Tell us if it is in an underground parking lot, has flat tires or is missing wheels.
Please remove your licence plates and all personal belongings before pickup. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
After the sale, cancel your insurance and handle your plates at an Alberta registry agent.

Payment

We pay the agreed amount at pickup, once the paperwork is complete and ownership has been transferred to us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
